LAYOUT OF TWO MOUNTAIN RESORT HOTEL RESTAURANTS

La Biskatcha and La Pivotte restaurants at Hotel La Marmotte in Les Gets, Haute-Savoie department, France

For the interior layout of these Haute-Savoie restaurants, Agence Amevet’s interior architects imagined an architecture and decoration aligned along new lines, to produce a style that is both “mountain” and “contemporary”. For the La Biskatcha restaurant, the renovation set out notably to design a space comprising several areas in order to provide customers with a choice of different dining ambiences: carvery/brasserie area, tapas “corner”, drinks bar, etc.

As for the La Pivotte restaurant, the ambience is very typical of Savoy, notably through the use of old wood retrieved from an ancient mountain cabin. A fireplace brings further enhancement to the decoration with the warm ambience it provides.

For these two restaurants, our interior architects imagined a specific configuration and equipment in each of the areas.

In the traditional Savoy cuisine part, they incorporated positionable raclette appliances and installed meat-maturing cupboards in the carvery area. An open kitchen fitted with “Jasper” ovens was also placed at the centre. For the layout of this restaurant, our interior architects strove to design a modular space: the main room is fitted with movable & collapsible glazed screens. This opens the possibility of laying out secluded areas for organizing private events. Conversely, this modularity also allows a much more open space for receiving groups, wedding guests, etc.

The restaurant layouts privilege the use of noble materials: old wood, deftly coupled with metal and glass, gives this project character in spades.

Unmistakably modern touches are provided by the colourful furniture and the lighting (spotlights, hanging lamps, LED ribbons). Cement tiles in shimmering colours reinforce the originality of this restaurant’s decoration.
