13 beds, 13 pieces of ski equipment to put away and 13 people at the table… not to mention the guests !
Agence Amevet had to push its sense of detail to the limit to fit everything into a 110 m2 apartment, spread over two floors and including a sauna… While giving the flat, once fitted out and decorated, the attributes required for top-of-the-range positioning !
Le Diamant Noir is part of a new development of two chalets, each with 10 lots, at the entrance to the hamlet of Chinaillon, the ‘top village’ of the Grand-Bornand resort, in the heart of the Aravis mountains in Haute-Savoie. The developer of the project asked Agence Amevet to fit out an empty plateau in one of the two condominiums, for his personal use and for occasional rental.
The agency chose to give a different style to the two floors of the flat. The ground floor has been given a “mountain/contemporary” style, with lots of stone and light. The façade cladding of the bar is reminiscent of the tavaillon roofs typical of Chinaillon. Upstairs is more rustic, cocooned like an old chalet, with a false roof structure recreated in old wood. This was an ideal choice for integrating the lighting, but one that was complex to achieve.
The specifications included the creation of 4 personalised bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In addition to the master bedroom, the agency designed a second bedroom with a double bed and mezzanine sleeping area. A third bedroom has two double bunk beds. Quite original, don’t you think? As for the “suite des lutines et lutins“, it offers 4 bunk beds and a bathroom with a washbasin equipped with a footboard, all of which augurs well for a good time.
The large living area includes a very compact, yet superbly equipped kitchen, with a wine cellar, clever storage for glasses and utensils, and Savoy stone worktops. The dining room, which seats 13 people and their guests, is a feat of ingenuity! The lounge is structured around a sofa made to measure by a French company. The sauna (5.50 m) and ski room have nothing to envy the communal areas in terms of space optimisation.
Tasteful touches include the signage, produced by the “Ma femme préfère le bleu” workshop, which personalises each living space. Or the wool from the Arpin spinning mill used to line the cupboards…
Agence Amevet delivered Le Diamant Noir in December 2022, before the tourist season, at the end of a successful experience marked by the full confidence of the client. To bring this project to fruition, the agency designed the plans, imagined and delivered the furniture, supplied the kitchen equipment and embroidered household linen…
It also oversaw the construction of the fitting-out package, which was crucial to meeting the challenge of optimising the space !
